The Sony Xperia smartphones have been provided with another
update on the progress for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
First devices that are going to receive jelly Bean are the
high-end handsets released in late 2012 meaning Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia
V. The updates are set for February and March. After these three phones, Sony
plans to upgrade others meaning Xperia J, Xperia P and Xperia Go at the end of
March. In the following weeks, the company will provide an update for the rest
of its products such as the XperiaS, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S.
Devices like the Xperia U, Xperia miro, Xperia tipo, and
Xperia Sony doesn’t plan to upgrade beyond Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The most expensive smartphones seem to get Sony’s attention,
though when it comes to specific handsets such as the AT&T Xperia Ion and
Xperia TL, there is no official specification that they will be updated to
Jelly Bean.
Xperia-specific functionality receives some new features on
devices in upcoming Jelly Bean software update.
