The Iconia B1-A71 is a tablet with a 7-inch screen that runs
on Android Jelly Bean. The handset is meant to be a strong rival for more
popular competitors like Amazon’s Kindle Fire and the Nexus 7 developed by
Google. The price tag for the device is reportedly going to be around $150,
although Acer did not give any details concerning the matter.
Acer Iconia B1-A71 is not
quite appealing as the Nexus 7 and the Kindle fire. For instance, its
display has the same size, but the resolution is only 1024 x 600 pixels,
compared to the one of its competitors, which is HD.
The tablet is powered by a dual-core MediaTek 8317 CPU at
1.2 GHz, and it sports %12MB of RAM. Among other specifications we can name its
front-facing camera with 0.3 megapixel sensor, its internal storage which is
limited at 8GB and a microSD card slot. The tablet runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
and it weighs around 320 grams. Also, it comes with a 2170mAh battery.
Acer is proud of its new product and says that its best
feature will be its low price. The company refers to the Iconia B1-A71 as
“ideal for new users or the families that opt for a second tablet for the
kids.” Of course, it can be customized with lots of applications as the users
will have access to Google’s Play Store.
